We love calling Wayzata our home. We may be a little biased, but we happen to think it’s one of the best places in the Twin Cities Metro Area.

With tasty restaurants, fantastic service providers, and great shopping around every corner, it’s a fantastic place to live and visit. For those who may be unfamiliar with the area, here is a list of some of the best shops in Wayzata, MN— particularly fashion boutiques!

1) J McLaughlin

743 East Lake Street

Since 1977, J McLaughlin has been bringing classic clothes with current relevance to a “retail environment with a neighborhood feel.”

Despite having over 140 stores located throughout the US, J McLaughlin still hasn’t lost that boutique vibe, as you’ll receive friendly service wherever you go, as well as fashionable and great-looking products.

Their summer looks are one of their most popular ones, and no matter the season, it’s never too early (or too late) to start looking for your go-to summer wear.

2) Evereve

687 Lake Street East

Evereve is another shop that, while it still has multiple stores throughout the U.S., still has the quality selection and style that you expect from a small boutique.

They carry a very large selection of brands in addition to their own, including:

Their mission, in addition to providing fashionable products, is to use their love for fashion as a way to inspire joy. That’s a message I think we can all get behind.

3) 44 North Boutique

823 Lake Street East

44 North Boutique has been a staple of the fashion scene in Wayzata ever since it opened in 2017. Yes, that’s how much they are loved here. Featuring such brands as Commando, Saloni, Roller Rabbit, and Assouline, 44 North Boutique has everything you need to look good and feel confident — no matter what season.

They are a classic yet modern boutique in every sense of the word and are an absolute must for all the fashionistas out there.

4) Fashion Avenue

810 East Lake Street

Fashion Avenue is a family-owned and operated luxury resale company that has two separate locations, one in Wayzata and another not too far away in Edina.

They offer some exceptional, high-end designer clothing for both women and men, as well as jewelry, accessories, shoes, and handbags. It’s very likely that you’ll walk out of the shop with something you love, as they have one of the largest selections of Chanel, Hermes, and Louis Vuitton in the Twin Cities area.

According to their website, the owners of Fashion Avenue pride themselves on the authenticity of their products, as well as the “detailed knowledge of every piece that comes in through their doors.

Whether you’re a native of the Twin Cities or just on the hunt for your next favorite outfit, make sure you stop in at Fashion Avenue if you’re ever in the area!

5) Highcroft

770 Lake Street East

Now for something a little different.

Highcroft has over 12 years of experience in the luxury linen industry, and they’ve done a fantastic job since day one. Because, as they say on their site, “at the end of the day, what is more luxurious than your very own bed?”

In addition to their fabulous linens, they also offer some great apparel options — both for sleeping in and wearing while out and about.

6) Pacifier Kids Boutique – Wayzata

812 Lake St East

Another cute boutique in the Wayzata Village Shops that offers something for the whole family is Pacifier. You’ll find everything you need for kids and babies at this boutique. From adorable clothes and books to decor and toys, you and your kids will enjoy stopping into this store.

Pacifier has a few other locations across the Twin Cities: the North Loop, Edina, and Highland Park. But the Wayzata location is the flagship store!

You can also set up a gift registry with Pacifier for upcoming baby showers or birthday parties.

7) Sun and Slope

701 Lake St East

Calling all outdoor enthusiasts! Minnesota is one of the best states for outdoor adventures in any season, and Sun and Slope is the perfect boutique for outfitting your favorite activity. Whether you need swimsuits for summer or ski gear for winter, this family-owned business has it all at an affordable price.
